Eastlake Yoga is an urban loft style
studio located in the heart of the
Eastlake Neighborhood.
Our motto is "Different Paths for Different Lives". We provide a safe, friendly and non-competitive environment where you can experiment with several different styles of yoga and find one that rings true for you while developing a regular practice!!
In the spirit of "Different Paths", there are several unique styles of yoga taught at this studio, which include the following:
Integral Yoga - Integral Yoga is a complete yoga system that integrates many branches of yoga into one class thus supporting all aspects of life so that each individual can lead a more easeful, peaceful and useful lifestyle. Integral Yoga combines the physical postures (asana), breathing practices (prana), relaxation techniques and meditation along with energizing chanting into one class reinforcing the connection between body, mind and spirit.
Kripalu - Kripalu Yoga is a transformative practice, which incorporates consciousness and compassion by integrating body, mind, heart, and spirit. Kripalu Yoga encourages the student to move at their own pace while honoring the body's needs in each moment by focusing on body and breath awareness while moving into and out of postures. Kripalu Yoga is often described as "meditation in motion" as the student moves in response to the body's wisdom. Kripalu Yoga encourages the student to Breathe, Relax, Feel, Watch and Allow.
Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy - Phoenix Rising is based on the belief that body and mind are not separate, and thus physical and emotional issues are profoundly connected. This style combines classical yoga techniques and contemporary psychotherapy to enable you to connect with your body's deep wisdom and to put the insights gained into action.
Viniyoga - Viniyoga means "proper application based on the situation." Taught in the tradition of TKV Desikachar and Krishnamacharya, viniyoga "is not a style of yoga but rather an approach to using its tools." Taking into account the individual's changing needs, practitioners learn to unite physical movements with conscious breathing, thereby preparing the mind for pranayama (breathwork) and meditation.
Vinyasa Slow Flow Yoga - Vinyasa Slow Flow is an intensive Hatha yoga practice that contains both classical and contemporary asana in one continuous flowing movement. The practice unites conscious movement with rhythmic breathing and helps to increase flexibility, build core strength while improving health and releasing stress.
Eastlake Yoga also offers laughing meditations and a variety of Monthly Workshops, Yoga intensives and private sessions as well as a weekly Sunday evening candlelight mediation. Eastlake Yoga is definitely a community space where all are welcome to connect with others and explore the healing powers of one of the world's oldest spiritual practices.
